South-West Pinnacle

South West Pinnacle is named so because it is located offshore, southwest of Koh Tao. It is another diving site that ranks among the best in the Gulf of Thailand accessible from Koh Phangan when the conditions are right.

The site consists of a main big submerged pinnacle as well as several scattered ones all around.

Bull sharks as well as tunas have been spotted on the periphery of the site. Whale sharks also come to visit from time to time. It is one of the other sites where they are most frequently seen after Sail Rock and Chumphon Pinnacle.

The entire tip is covered with colorful anemones that make for a pleasant view on safety stops.
